This in-exhaustive, yet revealing, compilation of scriptures shows the passivity and incapability of unregenerate man to be quickened to the truth and call of the gospel. Regeneration by the Spirit is a necessary precursor to faith in Jesus Christ.

The more that I look to scripture for the truth found therein, the more the radical corruption of unregenerate man is blatantly perspicuous. This contrasted with the complete, eternal, authoritative sovereignty of God, drives me to true gratitude for the grace given me. I believe without a doubt, that my salvation lies only in the hands of its giver: the gracious, long-suffering, just, merciful God.
